Everyone editing the place in team create will crash.
A button to shut down TC sessions is useful for e.g. place version rollbacks, but it should be separate from the button that shuts down player servers. When a session is shut down manually, Studio should save everyone’s work and gracefully close instead of crashing.
This behavior should definitely remain for the time being. Right now it’s the only way to shut down a TC server. We need an actual way to do that before this gets fixed.
If something goes wrong and I need to revert. Also right now if you’re logged in on one PC then you can’t log in on any other PC until you log out, or the server shuts down.
Someone accidentally deletes half the startergui when they meant to hide it. Logs off without noticing. In this case we need to shut the whole TC down while one person does a revert-merge to get the place working again.
This isn’t necessarily the solution either. I may have important things open on that version and just forgot about them. Being initially blocked prompts me to remember them. In that case I wouldn’t want to join unless TC was able to grab my changes from my other PC instead of just locally autosaving.
The problem is that there is no other way to exit a Team Create session if you’ve left it open somewhere else. Say you leave your session open on your work computer, then go home and try to open Team Create on the same place from your home machine; you can’t because your Studio is still open at work and you won’t be let in. The workaround right now is to use Close All Sessions to kill your work session.
A better way to fix this is in the works, but for right now wel have to turn off the fix for not killing Team Create with Close All Sessions.
