The years begin in at Z.E. (Zarek Area). The time before that is know as B.Z.E. (Before Zarek Era).
A Quick Recap (Z.E. 123)
Around one hundred years after the rein of Zarek the Great - The founder of Knights of the Sun, a revolution began. This is thought to be because of the influence of many political enemies the Solarian Dynasty had. This revolution kicked the Solarian blood line from the throne, and placed upon it the Avorian Dynasty. Most of the royal family was slaughtered; however, one member of the family was able to escape: Marcus Solarian. Marcus hid for many years, and eventually became one with the common folk.
A Young William (Z.E. 3,672) (Seven years before the Skorlar Returns Arc)
The kingdom went from dynasty to dynasty. There were times were the Avorians would rule, and then other times where the great Helion dynasty would rule. Through this time at least seven and possibly more dynasties ruled, however the Solarians never came back unto the throne.
This all changed around the year Z.E. 3671, when the Nexarian dynasty was in power. A young William Solarias of around the age of 12 learned of his family’s ancient history. (That is a story for another time that will be told, just not yet). For the past few years he and his friends had been struggling just to make it through the week because of unfair laws and taxes. The kingdom was in total ruin, and William thought that someone had to fix it. He had always hoped that it would be him, but after learning of his family’s past, he began to believe it.
A Rising Force (Z.E. 3674-3676)
At first he began small, by talking to his friends, and putting out small papers across the city. However, as the years came, and he grew older he began doing more radical things. By the age of 15 he had created a small militia. And by the age of 18 he had a small army. Across all of Eshia people began to believe in this young boy who wanted to change things for the better. Even in other countries William was talked about.
Finally the Nexarian royal family began to get worried and chose to deal with the problem. The Nexarians took a small army out to the east of Eshia where the movement’s headquarters was. In a large scale attack they attacked the headquarters, and all seemed lost. However, because of the support from the thousands of Eshian civilians who sided with them, William and his army were able to escape and recruit even more soldiers to the cost. Even going so far to ask help from the country of Eldermist. Sadly, even with the Eldermist forces it was not enough to truly take power from the Nexarians.
That was until the one of the most famous events in Eshian history happened. Seeing how well the Rebellion’s soldiers were being rewarded and knowing how badly the Sun Knights had been treated under the Nexarians, Sun Slayer Bartram of Wanae decided that it was best to join William. This event would be come to be known as the Eclipse of the Sun Knights.
With the full army under his power William waged a civil war. The war lasted until Z.E. 3678, and in the next year William was crowned as Sun Lord.
