Hello! I made a welcome sign, but I can’t figure out how to color it and how for it to look. Can someone give ideas? (It is low poly)
This is the sign:
I’d recommend making the text white, or maybe something that matches up with something less sensitive to the eyes, very rough color change between green and blue.
I don’t think you should put a wall of text in front of the player, especially right when they join.
You shouldn’t use vibrant text on a vibrant background. Something basic like white on a dark gray would work. If you wanted to get color in there, make the background a dark shade of the color you want. This type of thing is comparable to the principles in UI Design, so looking into that would be great. ( Things like spacing and color theory. )
To add to this, UI can tell the player what they can do along with signs and physical land marks.
A button on the left of the screen with an image of a shopping cart indicates to the player that the game has a shop. You could also have a physical building with a sign on it that says “SHOP”.
I think it can be a bit challenging to read for some cause of the font colour, I would change it to white with a black outline
