Simple Blender preset Mesh, yet inverted?

Hello,
I have a model of a pair of extended hexagons in Blender.
They are made out of the preset Cylinder, with the vertices decreased to 6 take the form of hexagons.
However, I’ve deleted the hexagon on the other side to ‘help reduce tris’, and I’ll have the back covered with a different part.

I want to import them into Roblox Studio. I see that their faces are facing incorrectly.
I’ve tried fixing the normals via Flip and Recalculate Normals, but these are the only results:

(1) Incorrect lighting.

(2) Your average inverted meshes.

This is my first time importing my own model.
What should I do?

Select the mesh you wanna un-invert,

go to modeling mode,

alt + n,

click flip.

Thank me later.

Perhaps you missed my words, but that’s exactly what I did. It’s either one of the 2 results.

Oh yeah, was this mesh re-imported? That may be the problem from my experience.

No, straight from the Add/Shift + A presets.

Select problematic mesh, press Ctrl+A, apply transform, go to edit mode, select all, Ctrl+N, import to Roblox.

Are you thinking of the legacy Ctrl + N that flips normals? I’m using 2.83. No matter how much I retry, it will still be the 2 results.

I have retained memory about wrong keybinds everytime. =C
Anyways, things which helped me is applying transforms of mesh first in object mode, and then recalculating normals after in edit mode.

You can try to activate DoubleSided, in Roblox Studio. (Properties → Appearance)

Though it doesn’t directly solve your problem*

Wait a minute! Applying transform before flipping normals actually fixed it!

But what does it do actually, and why does that matter?

It resets some object data to zeroes, which is important to roblox somewhy.

I guess that nailed it. Thank you for all the replies!
