I need your help

does anyone of you have ideas for a simple game i could make.
I need a game idea that doesn’t exist on roblox yet

I can’t think of anything so I’m asking you :slightly_smiling_face:

These two are a little mutually exclusive, most simple games have been made.

If you’re looking to make a game for fun, I would look at game jam videos for inspiration. Most of them have single player games, so many not the best games to create for Roblox, but still would be fun to make and possibly simple enough.

If you’re not great at programming, one thing to look at is game concepts that use existing programs, like platformers. I bet you could make a great platformer game with a simple but fun mechanic (button to dash or launch, gravity switcher (with the open source gravity controller)). You could also make a puzzle game (if you make all of the puzzle things client sided it’s easy to program and good for multiplayer). A lot of more complicated games that already exist aren’t too hard either, like a tycoon where you can use a kit for most of the code.

With those notes, here are some pretty random game ideas:

  • Explore an ancient temple filled with traps and puzzles, level based
  • A level based platformer game where gravity can be controlled with some buttons + on screen UI and can go in 6 different directions
  • A platformer where the player has an umbrella (to glide) and a button to launch themselves forward (fireworks or something)

We can’t decide what you want to make. Choose what brings you passion.

However, here’s a few ideas off the top of my head:

  • A game where you try to fight with swords, but the network owner is controlled by the server

  • One of the old classic Roblox games, like Doomspire Brickbattle or Glass Houses, but with a twist: you can fly.

  • A simple game where certain items are scattered across the map. These items will be worth different points. Each round, the player has to pick up as many items as possible. The player with the most points wins.
