I’m planning on making a Sims style town and city game. Similar to games like “The Neighborhood of Robloxia!”, which I remember spending hours playing when I was first into roblox years ago.
It’s a fairly large open ended town, in which there are a variety of jobs to RP in and points of interest.
You start with a fairly basic, small house which just has a couple rooms. As you play the game, you earn money from your job (you earn passive money every couple mins, but can earn more doing minigames/activities at different jobs). You also can earn money from other players, finding it around the town in hidden locations, and from logging in daily.
This money can be used to purchase house upgrades, new furniture which you can move around your house as you see fit, vehicles which you can customize and upgrade, various tools, and other things to mess around with.
You also need to purchase food and water, to maintain your hunger and thirst levels, whilst also making sure to get enough rest, as you lose energy the more you walk around and do things. If your energy empties out you have to be taken to hospital, which could cost you a fair amount depending on how much cash you have.
Any thoughts on my idea, anything I could add or remove, and any feedback in general is massively appreciated. Thanks!
