Hello, I am karlo_tr10. I and my friend (Cody) started working on a game called “SiteLock”. We are not sure if people are still interested in this kind of games so if anybody has time to check it out and give feedback I would be really thankful.
About game
SiteLock is a puzzle type of game that can be played either on singleplayer or multiplayer(not yet). I am aware that singleplayer games are not people’s favorite but we wanted to give it a shot. Currently, we have 1 map and the second one is being made. Secret-Robbery
Secret-Robbery is our first and only map (as of now). You have to do objectives and find your way to the vault, rob it and escape the facility. The game has a time limit of 20 minutes if you escape within the time limit you will be sent to lobby and your time will be saved. There is leaderboard so you can compete with other people.
Plans:
New map (in progress)
Multiplayer (after the new map, if the game gets positive feedback)
The obby style sections are fine, but I didn’t get beyond the box that makes you press E.
Also, somewhat unrelated, I’d recommend an opening cutscene explaining the “lore” behind the map. It could just mention stuff like what the place is, why the floor’s covered in lava, and what your overall goal is, or it could be a bit more ambitious and have a sort of story continuing along each map’s cutscene. It just feels a bit sudden to immediately jump in with the timer ticking.
The map design is great! As has been said, I think the main focus should be on making more maps and creating an immersive lore to hook the player into the game.
Thanks for the feedback! New maps should come every few weeks, will take longer for 3rd map as we are focusing on expanding to multiplayer and we need to make multiplayer versions for current map and map that is going to be released very soon!
