We appreciate your patience and support as we provide you with an important update regarding the progress of our highly anticipated new game. We understand that it has been a considerable amount of time since our last communication, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Over the past months, we have faced challenges in maintaining reliable programming support. Unfortunately, several programmers have left the project prematurely, resulting in a less-than-ideal state of the game. Additionally, a number of the team members have experienced personal circumstances, including education-related commitments, which have impacted their availability. Furthermore, I have personally juggled my responsibilities as a first-year university student at a reputable business school and a demanding 43-hour per week role as an operations supervisor. These factors, combined, have regrettably led to neglect within our community, and for this, I express my deepest apologies.
When I initially established this community in 2014, I never envisioned its remarkable growth beyond a hundred members. The fact that we now stand strong with over 875,000 community members is truly humbling. As we approach the 10-year milestone in January, I am amazed at the journey we have all embarked on together. SizzleBurger remains one of the few original restaurant/cafe groups that has persevered amidst the challenges of owner neglect, often brought on by the demands of adulthood and higher education. I am committed to ensuring that our community thrives and that we overcome any setbacks that may arise. In line with this commitment, I am proud to introduce “Operation Burger Boost.”
“Operation Burger Boost” is our ambitious initiative designed to breathe new life into the SizzleBurger community. We aim to revitalize our restaurant roleplaying experience and recapture the excitement that has made us a cherished destination for millions of players worldwide. Through dedicated efforts and strategic planning, we are determined to restore SizzleBurger to its former glory and provide an unforgettable experience for both our loyal players and newcomers alike.
Exciting Developments
At SizzleBurger, we believe in continuous improvement, and we acknowledge that the previous version, SizzleBurger V5, did not meet our expectations or those of our players. We encountered coding issues and introduced certain elements that were not well-received by the community. Taking these concerns into account, we have initiated a fresh start with “Operation Burger Boost,” which introduces a host of exciting changes and a revitalized new game to the community.
As part of this revamp, we are proud to unveil the new SizzleBurger logo, which features an updated, yet familiar design showcasing a burger, fries, and soda mascot. These vibrant characters, yet to be named, will inject a sense of fun and liveliness into the community. We value your input and would appreciate your help in deciding their names. Together, we can bring more enjoyment to the SizzleBurger experience.
To ensure the successful development of our new game, we have added two experienced and reputable developers to our team. Allow us to introduce xJa_ys, who is working on creating a brand new map with fresh assets and buildings. Additionally, we are thrilled to have LegendOJ1 as our project programmer, renowned for their work with other popular groups in the same genre. Both individuals have already been hard at work, and although we are not ready to announce a specific release date at this time, we are confident that the game will be ready for you to enjoy very soon. We will provide regular updates on the progress of both the build and coding mechanics to keep the community informed.
Community Feedback
Community feedback is invaluable to us, and we have listened attentively to your suggestions and concerns. We understand that the customer queue system took away from the authentic interaction among players, and we wholeheartedly agree. As a result, we have removed this feature and implemented a new system where cashiers with claimed registers can select nearby customers to serve. Customers will be presented with a confirmation message, giving them the choice to accept service. Please refer to the accompanying image for a visual representation of this improved system.
Furthermore, we have taken note of the confusion surrounding the cooking system and the feedback it received. In order to address this, we are reintroducing mechanics similar to those in the current public game. Players will interact with ingredients in front of them to add toppings to their items. While the cooking mechanics are still being fine-tuned, we plan to incorporate cooking meters and engaging mini-games to enhance the interactive cooking experience. Stay tuned for more details!
Dealing with disruptive players has been a concern within the community, and we are actively working on solutions. We are excited to announce that we are developing a comprehensive management panel for our managers and supervisors. This panel will enable them to swiftly handle disruptive customers by issuing timed kicks and bans, all of which will be logged with reasons for easier identification of repeat offenders. Additionally, we are exploring the implementation of a vote kick system, granting Shift Leaders the ability to vote on players who need to be removed from the server in the absence of a manager.
Lastly, we have been attentive to the feedback from our players who expressed their desire for a rewarding experience in the game. To address this, we will be introducing a tipping system that enables players to directly tip workers with Robux as a token of appreciation for their hard work. This system will provide a means for players to contribute to the community and enhance the overall sense of engagement and satisfaction within the game.

The Future
Looking ahead, the new game will initially feature the fundamental elements that make SizzleBurger so enjoyable: the restaurant itself, the cashier job, the chef job, and the janitor job. However, we have ambitious plans for the future, including the introduction of a functional drive-thru and expanding the map to create a unique and unparalleled gaming experience for our players.
