Skinned mesh RootPart not where it should be

Hi, so I am trying to make my skinned mesh body base playable as a test. But for some odd reason, the rootpart isn’t where it should be? It’s at the feet, I’m not experienced with mesh deformation so I’m struggling to find out why.

Take this picture for example, the Lola model has it near the waist while as mine is at the feet. I’ve tried copying the armature from the Lola armature, but that hasn’t done anything. I’m stuck, does anyone know why this is happening??


This is the armature, where there is a red circle is where I’d like the rootpart to be. It’s also where the Root and the HumanoidRootNode Bones are.

Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Having the same issue as you with a different kind of rig. It seems that there’s possibly an issue with the avatar importer overall but we won’t know for sure until the engineers come back from their winter break.

Ah, I figured it out! You need to move the model to the middle of the axis.
