Slightly Transparent Parts Show Overlap

I was making an escalator the other day, and I used a bunch of parts from studio to do so. However, when I tried to make the parts slightly transparent and also reflective, the places where the parts overlapped showed. Is there any way that you can eliminate it from showing? (Other than just remaking it in blender) Here’s a pic:

I already tried unioning the parts together and also duplicating the overlapping part and negating it. (Still showed)

The best way to do this with a Union is to make each railing a little wider than necessary, then Negating a very large part to each side of the railing so it’s perfectly flat.
Unioning in Roblox is messy, and you may think the parts are perfectly aligned to give a smooth joint, but they may be off by .00001 studs and that will show up in a Union.

I recommend using F3X, as I am almost positive it’s always aligned provided you are using the same measurement on each thing.

Alignment isn’t the issue here.

You need to union them to make it go away.

Try again, I tested it in Studio and can confirm unioning it is your only solution.

Just to touch upon unions, I had experiences with unions randomly dissapearing when game was published and re-opened. Even when I did go back to previous game upload version these parts where still not there.

I didn’t have this experienece in any recent games I was and am making but it did happen.

Thanks everyone! @A3R0SPACE IDK why it wasn’t working the first time I tried… But this time it worked :+1:

Did you Union it, or just Group it @flarezhu? I’ve done that before too.

I unioned it. I seemed that it still showed the first time bc i already unioned 2 parts together and unioned that union with the main one (Ik, ik, I overused union)

Huh. I thought using the Glass material would fix this since it’s supposed to stop transparent parts from rendering behind it, but after testing it it doesn’t seem to work either.
