Small game and high ping

(I didn’t put this in Bug Reports because I’m not exactly sure this is a bug)

Hey!
I’ve made a very smaller teaser game for an almost finished game I’m working on.
(The game is only UI)

I purposely made the lighting the most optimized it can get for fast loading time
The workspace is very small and only consists of 17 spawns and 6 parts

The only local script in my game (no other scripts):

removed the image of the script so no one steals it :wink:

While testing my game from roblox player, I get ~115 to 140 ping.
This seems very high for such a simple game (Correct me if I’m wrong)

While testing my game in studio I have a steady ~55 ping.

Is my script causing this?
Does this have to do with my internet?
If not, what could be causing this?
Is there anyway to minimize my ping?

If you have only 1 script that is handled by the Client, and doesn’t have to send / receive data from the Server, the problem is not with your game, but your internet connection. Do an internet speed test, and compare the results you get there with the results you get on Roblox.

(Sorry for the late response)

You don’t have to worry about that issue. It’s Roblox related. I did an internet speed test, my ping was 7ms, when I joined Roblox it showed me that I have 130+ ms. That’s because there is a lot more that Roblox handles in the background that we don’t know.
