I’m considering going into obby-based commissions for Robux. I’ve had some minor experience in JToH building (although I never managed to finish a tower) but I’ve decided to make my own mechanics.
Below is a quick “obby” I made using my own custom mechanics. Some were scripted, some were just a matter of physics. I have made this in an hour to see how much I could build, as well as to showcase some mechanics (not all are original, some are just recreated copies of JToH mechanics, but I’m still proud of recreating them) and to build up a portfolio.
The button mechanic reminds me of Flood Escape, also, very cool style you went with. It reminds me of the old Roblox, especially with the textures and animations!
R15 has more joints and body parts, which means there is a more inconsistent hitbox, depending on the animation the player has chosen.
More inconsistent hitbox = More chance to hit something in obbies, like killbricks, meaning it’s worse to do obbies on them.
And it still works for easier obbies. Even in the simple ones with copypasted killbricks, using R6 makes going over them easier than with R15, so it’s also fine for easy obbies.
There are many obby ‘glitches’ for experienced players that only work with r6’s simple animations, which do not work with r15. It is also easier to see an r6’s character’s hitbox, so you could see if the character is near lava.
