I have started to experiment with smooth terrain and I have run into a problem. When selecting portions of terrain and moving them into other parts they do not mix. I left an example below of what I am talking about. In the example I wanted to bring a body of water into a crater I made and that was the outcome. Any ideas or settings that I am just looking over?

Check the "Ignore water" setting when adding materials such as soil.

You can sort this problem out with the following:
- Use part to terrain plugin, this helps you turn parts into terrain without hassle, just search it in Library, or in the Studio itself.
- Create your own terrain base, (example, a terrain base is ground material) then use “paint” and paint one part of the base into water.
- Use ignore water on, you can find this in the terrain shaping tools. However, using this will not enable you to create terrain on water, because it is invisible with the “ignore water” on.
- Create a terrain and paint water on it, BUT use smoothing tool or flatten tool.

If my answer worked for you and solved the problem, I would appreciate it if it was marked as “solved”.
It did not. It ended up being the merge empty option when making selections on smooth terrain.
If possible, can you post a video of the problem?
