Snowbound Training Session Guide

Snowbound Training Session Guide

This is how Snowbound Training Sessions should be conducted. Training sessions should always follow this format.

Please note:

  • Only Staff Executive+ can Host events such as Interview Sessions and Training Sessions.
  • Anyone above the rank of Supervisor can assist in interviews as a Session Staff Member.

Starter requirements for the session are as follows:

  • Announce the Session on the Group Shout located on the group page
  • Provide 5-15 minutes before beginning the session
  • Commonly answer questions from attendees before the session starts

The Training Session Should run as follows:

The Session Host will announce that the Session has begun.

Hello, everyone! Welcome to Today’s Training Session. I will be your Session Host [Session Host name].

The Session Host will then run through the rules of the Session.

Please follow all directions from Session Staff and only speak when spoken to. This is so that we can get important information across and ensure that you are paying attention.

Please remember, all group rules will still apply during this session.

The Session Host will then list all Session Staff Members.

Your trainers for Today’s session will be [List of Session Staff].

The Session Host will then announce the beginning of the Training Segment of the session.

Please form a single file line behind [Session Staff Member] if you would like to train for the role of Barista Today.

Excellent! Now, if you will be trainin.g for the role of Chef Today please form a single file line behind [Session Staff Member]

The Staff Teams that will train each role will direct their group of trainees to the kitchen area. The Barista trainees will stand behind the counters and the Chef trainees will line up against the wall in the kitchen.

The Barista Training goes as follows:

The Barista Trainer will introduce themselves and introduce the trainees to the counter.

Hi, I’m [trainer name]. This is the counter area, this area is where customers will order their food! I will now show you how to greet a customer.

The Barista Trainer will then run through how a Barista should greet a customer.

To serve a customer you will need to greet them with something like “Hi, welcome to Snowbound. What can I do for you?”. Then, when they order their food you will respond with something on the lines of “Excellent Choice, will you be taking away or sitting in?”

The customer will then respond if they are sitting in or if they are taking away, if they are taking away you are to prepare their food for them in the kitchen and hand it to them. If they are sitting in, notify an Attendant of the customer’s name and where they will be sitting.

The trainer will then roleplay as a customer and approach each register, asking for a product from the menu. At the end of the segment, the trainer will determine those who passed and have the Session Host rank them appropriately.

The Tour Guide Training goes as follows:

Hi, I’m [trainer name]. This is the touring area, where customers will line up for a tour of our wonderful island!

When greeting a customer, you should say something on the lines of "Hello, welcome to Snowbound tours, what can I do for you?

The Tour Guide Trainer will then run through how a Tour Guide should run a tour.

Your job as a tour guide is to tour customers around our wonderful island and show the customers significant areas, such as the dining cave and the beach areas and take them around the map.

When you find significant areas, provide a description of the area to the customers, and then keep going. Take them around the edge of our island and meet back at the tour guide area, then answer any of their questions!

The Tour Guide Trainer will then proceed to approach the tour guide trainees and ask them for their description on a significant area of our map. Then, the Trainer will determine who passed and escort them to the Session Host to be ranked appropriately.

When all passing Trainees have been ranked, the Session Host will shutdown the server meaning that the session has concluded.
