Soft-locked out of "Manage Collaborators", unable to enter back without someone editing the data or pushing a fix

Bug Description

You get soft-locked out from “Manage Collaborators”.

Places of occurance:

I tested this in one of my testing experiences. This is the ID 8829660439

I can’t access the “Manage Collaborators” anymore.

System Information

Windows 10 - 64 Bit
not really revelant for this bug, as it seems to be API related

More description

I made a Test Experience to test some possible bugs that also should answer the question, regarding how many people you can add onto there.

Eitherways.

You need to create a random experience.

On success you will get this error

Reproduction Steps

  1. At the top right you will find this button right there.

  2. (Game needs to be saved for this) Now add random people that you do not have in your friendlist onto there.

  1. Add a lot, like until the scrollbar looks small.
  2. Make sure to save after you added like idk 50 or more, then continue
  3. At the end you should get this “Failed to load Permissions”
  4. When you get that error, check if it still works or not, because you will get it after you added a bunch of players onto the list.
  5. Add more and try to save, at one point you should get an error that says that it failed to save.

Now I am soft-locked with an Experience that where I can’t fix this issue. And turning off Team Create did not fix this issue either.

Unless there’s an API endpoint that is intended to clear out the “Manage Collaborators” list.

We’ve filed a ticket into our internal database for this issue, and will come back as soon as we have updates!

Thanks for the report!

We’ve investigated the issue and found it happens when there are more than 200 collaborators added. We’ve put this on the list to be fixed, but it may take a while as this is not a common case.

There is an endpoint to remove Team Create collaborators. It is documented here on the Develop Api v1 page (labeled as “Removes a user from a TeamCreate permissions list.”) This can be used to remove collaborators to get under 200, as a workaround.
