I basically want to be able to import an image into Studio, and place it onto a screen GUI using imagelabels/imagebuttons. However, some of the images are made to have transparent parts between them but instead in Studio all the transparent parts turn into a shade of grey.
This is one of the images I have in paint.net.
It is rounded and has some empty space on the sides.
When I upload to studio via image labels this is what I get
You can see that there is the outline of grey along the edges.
I did another test, this time making it more visible.
This is what the image looked like in paint.net
I verified that it is saved as a png. I looked through the forums and through youtube and couldnt find a solution. If you know what I am doing wrong or another way on how to get images with transparent backgrounds on Screen GUI, let me know
that wouldnt work since my edges are also rounded. I would still have a small portion of space at the corners which would be gray. And that is just a way to avoid the problem, not fix it. I seen lots of crazy UIs where trimming the edges would not work at all.
Are you positive that it’s not just showing the background color of the ImageLabel/Button? Try setting BackgroundTransparency to 1 to see if that solves your issue. Can’t really provide much more help without more context.
thanks! that solved it. was unaware that there are two transparency sliders. didnt see the background transparency, only saw the image transparency property.
