[SOLVED] Roblox Client Non-Stop Buffering

The Issue
I am a game developer and I can no longer keep ignoring this issue. Upon trying to join any game in ROBLOX, website client of the application completely freezes, and takes 30 seconds or more each time to load a single frame. I have tried to reformat my PC and it still did not fix this strange occurrence. I tested on my other devices and they work completely fine. And yes, all of my drivers are up to date. There should be no issues with my computer, as ROBLOX worked for me up until around I believe October, before occasionally running into this issue, to now, no longer able to be playing ROBLOX entirely. This is very strange because when I try to play on the Microsoft store version of ROBLOX, it works perfectly fine, along with when being in-game using studios, there is no issue. When trying to run the game (the web application), it takes up practically no resources, like ROBLOX isn’t even trying to initialize. It only happens with the website version of the client. While I COULD use the Microsoft version, I have only ever used the website version, and, no offense to ROBLOX staff, the Microsoft version is still fairly buggy and slow. For the staff reviewing this post, I have privately attached all my msinfo32 information. Thanks for reading, and hopefully this gets fixed.

UPDATE 1: I’ve noticed comparing running roblox on my main PC versus another windows 11 device (that roblox runs perfectly on) that Windows on my main PC assigns the status “Efficency” to ROBLOX automatically in task manager, versus the one of my other windows 11 device where roblox does work. It may be something with Windows that’s bottlenecking ROBLOX. Not too sure…

This is what it looks like when I try to play games:

I’m going to attempt to run ROBLOX on a virtual machine running windows 10 on the same pc I’m having this issue on and see if its possibly a hardware based issue, or a software/driver based issue. If it works, im going to upgrade that virual machine to a windows 11 version and see if it stills work to determine if the operating system is the issue.

Okay, so with the virtual machine, every time I tried to install ROBLOX, the entire instance would crash every single time. It would just stop. I have no clue whats going on with this, and why its happening. Its not making any sense.

Roblox crashing on a vm is intentional by design

Ah, good to know. Too bad I cant test it without downgrading my windows version on my main pc

It is intentional to some extent, virtual machines are allowed with the Roblox client, Hyperion specifically allows it.
@buckymacjam make sure you have a physical GPU being passthrough to your virtual machine (that is properly detected, verify this with Device Manager and Task Manager) and make sure Hyper-V is enabled.

Thanks for the extra information. Ill try this and get back to you guys.

SOLUTION
Follow the steps provided in this link:
https://en.help.roblox.com/hc/en-us/articles/24275616578708-Hyperion-Messages#:~:text=Please%20perform%20a%20Windows%20clean,other%20software%20while%20using%20Roblox.

  1. Win+R and type msconfig
  2. Go to the Services Tab and click Hide all Microsoft Services
  3. Disable All > Apply

It ended up being some sort of third party software causing the problem. Hopefully this helps anybody else with this issue.
