[Solved] The procedure entry point EventSetInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll

Hello, Developers!

When I’m trying to play any game on Roblox I get this error:

The procedure entry point EventSetInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll.

Anyone knows how to fix that? I’m looking how to fix it on the DevForum and everywhere else but I can’t find a solution. Please help!

I noticed that this issue has occurred to a lot of people but no one answered yet how to fix it.

Device: PC
Error is only occurring when I try to play any game or open Roblox Player app.
This error is NOT occurring when I try to open Roblox Studio, everything works fine with it.

Yes, I tried reinstalling roblox 5 times.

I think something from Roblox Studio’s core file. As per I know, there is some code missing inside .dll file. I’m not sure why even after deleting, it’s not refreshing.

Try deleting all the Roblox Studio’s file, and then reinstall it.

I checked some websites and saw that a lot of people are having this error.

I already tried deleting all of the files.

I found this article. Maybe that fixes it. This error isn’t just related to Roblox Studio, but the whole computer system (I mean this can happen to any software), so maybe it helps.

Is it specific to a region? I’ve not received any the entire day.

Edit: Looks like it’s a client side problem. I think this has something to do with your Roblox Launcher itself.

I followed all of the methods and everything seems to be alright, I think there is something wrong with the Roblox Launcher.

I figured it out, thanks to all who helped!

Edit 2: Some people are having problem with installing, your computer needs to be 64 bit because roblox is no longer supporting 32 bit devices!

Edit: If someone doesn’t know how to fix this then follow this tutorial:
[Windows version]

This is a Windows version, I’m not 100% sure if it will work!

Roblox is a 32-bit program. 64-bit Roblox on Windows does not exist.
