[SOLVED] Union problem - Messes up the material color

Hello, I have encountered an odd glitch with unions that I need help solving if a solution even exists.

The issue is quite simple, really. Every time I union parts that have the same material and color, the resulting unioned part ends up with different colors.

Here’s a visual example: https://gyazo.com/e137250cfbcbfaf854eff96685aeb90c

I have successfully unioned several other components, and they all turned out fine. I even unioned the exterior section of the stairs, and it came out normal. However, the interior section of the stairs seems to be the only place where this glitch occurs.

If you have a solution or any questions, please let me know, and I’ll do my best to provide an answer. Thank you for reading!

Also why are you using unions?

For some reason, it doesn’t seem to work.

To answer your question, I use unions to reduce lag on my builds, it definitely helps.

Try changing the color of the union after turning that property on.

Doesn’t work.

Interesting. Can you send me a file of the stairs you are having a problem with?

Sorry for the late response but here is the file.

Stairs.rbxl (35.6 KB)

Just out of curiosity, I tried unioning the stairs in another baseplate and it did the same thing.
