Some feedback for my top down "plate up" and "overcooked" type game kitchen so far

Hey everyone! I just made the kitchen for my plate up inspired roblox game. I used assets from KayKit to just see what I can do. This is only one of the 3 maps that im planning to make.
Let me know what you guys think so far and what I could add!

edit : i did the entire restaurant

Thanks!

Personally, the design is good! However, there are some flaws

Here’s my honest feedback:

  • The colors are way to bright and are hurting my eyes (Idk if that’s just me)
  • I cannot see where any of the doors are. I can see they’re marked by a little box but it’s so hard to see and I reckon players will have a hard time navigating from room to room.
  • Windows would be a nice attention to detail.

reduced the contrast and added some windows and extended the doors. any better?

Looks pretty good, but now that I see it, the original contrast actually looks better lol. Sorry for making you go through all that effort.

Things I like:

  • More windows
  • Doors are much easier to see!

If I were you I’d make the top of the door frame transparent so the player can clearly see the doors without having to do a double take. To separate the rooms I suggest adding massless parts on hinges to act as doors (ignore if you already do I can’t see if it does.)

Thats actually some really good ideas! Ill try them out and let you know! Thanks!

The theme of the game so far from the screenshots look great! It’s a good recreation of the games you were inspired by! How long did it take to make? When will you release the game?

It took me somewhere from 1-2 hours and I still haven’t started scripting yet and that will most likely take me up til past new year. But we’ll have to see how that goes!
