hmmmm all I could say is maybe try extending the end a little but I feel it already looks really good and I don’t feel I should control the design that much

Ok now how should i go about thickness? Is this amount good?

depends on if its stuffed with gifts or not, if its empty go a bit thinner but if you want gifts like little toys in there (the idea that they are in there not actually in there) I would say keep it how it is
