Spam Mail from playing Retail Tycoon?

So I played Retail Tycoon while it was in Beta and it was pretty fun. But now that it’s fully released I decided to play it again today. After being like 30 mins into the game I noticed I got a spurge of messages. I checked them out to sadly realize they’re all spam

I’ve gotten botted messages like this from games before but I haven’t gotten messages like these is months. These bot messages have been around for ages.

FIxable? Depends on how you define fixable. My solution is people need to follow me to PM me.

I mean like is there some way to block the bots from tracking the players in a game.

No. I assume it just scans through the player list. However, since it needs to follow you, it’ll fail to send you the PM.

Its not really specific to any game, this is an issue with all games, because bots just scan the front page and PM everyone. Just reply to them with cactus facts.

You should probably just give up on that. Hardly anyone is using it, and the groups that generally do recruitment spam are tiny when it comes to non-alt members. Plus, if someone wanted to get a group banned all they’d have to do is send you a recruitment PM (not even from a bot) asking you to join that group.

The only way this is going to get solved is with a captcha on PMs or if ROBLOX implements a junk filter.

There are a few groups with thousands of members that have been sending messages for months.
Several group owners are the ones sending messages.
Or the one recruiting is like the second highest rank, co-owner or something.

As someone who has been in a number of 1000-5000 member clans, we only ever had 10-25 active members. The rest were dead or alts.
