not sure if an isolated instance, but i’ll put it here just incase it isn’t –
I’m unsure what could’ve caused it to spam me over 700 times.

i tried to report the spamming but came up a little short – there is no report abuse button
That user is probably behind it.
I wouldn’t understand how, AFAIK once you press decline that’s it – I certainly hope you can’t spam it to have it spam the message multiple times, because I know I’ve done this on a few horrible trades a few times so I’d feel bad spamming someone’s messages…
I was going to make a post like yours, but then I thought about:
A How long it would take even if he could just keep hitting the decline button
B How long it would take if he had to keep making new trades
Either way, 700+ declines is a crapton.
Yeah – if it was him just spamming it then that needs to be fixed because I can annoy a lot of people by spamming the button if thats the case.
Pretty sure it is either a bot or some sort of refresh abuse, since it looks like he could send at least 20 per minute on the screenshot
No, I can assure you he sent all 700+ within the same minute.
Yeah so definitely some kind of script, or refreshing the page after declining re-sends the decline message
I have the repro steps for this, if any staff PM’s me I’d be happy to share (lack of confidential tags).
Them damn kids _Fiddl_ing with buttons…
I think that some time ago, staff requested to not “share” exploits and stuff like this.
My post certainly had no repro steps, it was moreso the elephant in the room as the obvious program in question. Everyone here remembers the multi-hat glitch.
I just did it from the site, no program needed… I think, I might be remembering it wrong
That glitch did not work via said program. It worked by brute forcing two hats at the same time.
I had over 100 hats on with my old account.
Yeah, and having Fiddler constantly refresh them was a great and easy way to do that.
Could a web dev please comment on this?
I’ve just been spammed once more with this bug, this time apparently 20,000 times.
I’m absolutely pissed off right now that this is even happening.
This has been fixed.
