Spheres & cylinders do not switch to high-poly models if every surface is Smooth

Not sure if this is intended or not (I’m not sure why it would be intended), but recently while building I noticed that spheres and cylinders will use increasingly higher-poly models the bigger they are, which surprised me because I’d never seen it happen before. After some testing I found out that if every surface is set to Smooth (the way I and presumably many others build) this doesn’t happen.

This can be fixed for now by just changing at least one surface to SmoothNoOutline, I just thought I should report that one of the most common surface types didn’t get invited to the high-poly club.
