Sponsors in Ad manager cost more if you make them cheaper

I have recently created a game on Roblox named Tower of Infinity and I have been trying to push it to a larger audience. I have been attempting to use Roblox’s Ad manager but there are a few weird things with it.

  1. Whenever I set the bid to 0.06 It uses all of the Ad Credits almost instantly and provides a great influx of players to my game. This would be alright since I could use a lower bid and it would lose against other people’s bid, making it so the ad is spread out over a larger period. But there is an issue.
  2. If I set the bid lower than 0.06, my cost per join goes up… I have ran two ads with a bid lower than 0.06 and both times the CPM and Cost per Click were way higher.

Why is this? Should it not be lower if I am willing to pay less for plays?

I want to spread out my joins over a longer period without spending more money but It does not seem like that is possible with Roblox’s new ad manager.

The first Ad the bid is 0.06 and the second ad the bid is 0.03
The first Ad paid 0.0027 per player
The second Ad paid 0.0135 per player
that is a 5x increase in price because you said you wanted to pay less per join.

Here is a follow up!

So I wasted another $20 worth of Robux to test stuff.
The issue I was facing was the demographic wasn’t targeted enough.
If you want a large spike of players and it doesn’t matter how much playtime they get then doing a high bid and a large demographic is the thing for you.
Mainly I need to sponsor to get into the algorithm because sponsoring games is unsustainable unless I get an ARPDAU of 2 or something like that, which is really high.
So basically target your ads to your specific audience so you get better stats and more dedicated players!
