Sprint System KeyBind

Hey! I’ve been recommended to this area to look for help? I want the player to use left shift to be able to sprint but I also don’t want it to make the player go into or out of shift lock. Should I change the keybind for it?

In the starter character settings, you can turn off shift lock. If you really want shift lock and shift to sprint, then maybe you need to make a custom shift lock.

If you want to change the key bind, then I think toggle left control is best.

Oh okay. I’ll use left control. Thank you

Commonly, you just rebind shift lock to left control.

Wait? Hold on? You can do that? :0

Wait? I just realized. If I set it to left ctrl and I try to test it then it would do some weird stuff

What is the weird stuff it is doing?

You could disable Shift-Lock by going to StarterPlayer → EnableMouseLockOption, then setting it to false. The shift lock will be disabled until someone re-enables it if you use Team Create.

When I test it while trying to sprint using left control and I press A. It will select everything and when I press other keys (everything is selected) It’ll do some random stuff like just mess up some stuff idk like duplicating assets

Anyways, aside from the sprint system now… How do I make a moving part that moves the player along with it?
