Update Log

Major Update (September 30)

Major Update

  • Marbles Gamemode The third game (excluding intermission) is now Marbles! Choose if you think there will be an even or odd amount of marbles. If you’re correct, you will gain marbles, if wrong you will lose them. :eyes: The game is 4 rounds!

Minor Updates

  • A few tug of war front spawns have been removed, so you no longer are really close to the edge
  • Tug of war CPS cap is now 15 cps
  • Glass bridge time slightly reduced 90 → 75
  • Minor UI position updates
  • You’re no longer able to climb on the intermission walls (and ceiling)

Chaos Mode

  • New command !team [string] to set a nametag GUI above your head!

  • Marble game infinite yield bug patched
  • Fixed if you didn’t choose something you now lose marbles guaranteed

  • Marbles for marble game increased from 4->5
    This is just a bit of nerfing, which means you can’t lose on the 3rd round if you get unlucky. It still requires that you guess right twice though!

Chaos Game

  • !team [Team Name] command fixed
  • Basic sound replication, so you can hear the people swinging bats (not longer dead silence!)

  • Doll now turns her head
  • Ticking sound of the clock in the background
  • Adjusted various sound volumes
  • Time to get bats in the first intermission has been reduced
  • New bat replication has been added, so you can hear things now :slight_smile:
  • Ragdolls stick around instead of despawning

Lobby Updates

  • Instead of a boring alarm, it plays the beginning of the song Unfolded
  • With that some of the light transitions have been changed as well!

Minor Updates

  • You now are guaranteed to die if you get shot in red light green light (even if you were laggy)
  • Hotfix: Patched the UI not showing up for respawn
  • Hotfix: Patched some spectating UI bugs
  • Hotfix : If you respawn on the last round, you just respawn
  • Hotfix : If you clicked the tp button before it was visible, it would tp you. Has been fixed. (same applies to the other buttons)

  • Added Sugar Honeycomb! Cut the cookie without breaking it otherwise you will be eliminated :eyes:
  • Games have been rearranged:
    Red Light Green Light → Honeycomb → Intermission → Tug of war → Glass bridge → Intermission → Marbles → Intermission (for now until we release the final game!!)

Minor Updates

  • Added new tags [SG|TC] for the translation committee and [SGSF] for Squid Game Special Forces! (Which you should totally join!)
  • Fixed some translation errors
  • XBox support increased thanks to us turning on the xbox virtual cursor

  • Fixed the star cookie not being anchored. It caused an interesting bug to say the least.

  • Star and Triangle Cookies have been fixed (some of the hitboxes weren’t properly set)
  • Spectating to the end does not give you a win or cash
  • Fixed a bug where the timer would go down twice as fast on the second game
  • Square guard text (when translated) should be fixed!
  • Sugar Honeycomb time reduced 45 → 40

  • Skins have been added to the game, we have added a basic color crate for now! We intend on adding more as time goes on, as well as custom weapon skins which may change how you use your weapons!
  • (VIP Rainbow has been moved to the inventory)

  • Lobby Interval reduced from 3minutes → 2minutes!
  • Sugar Honeycomb camera bug patched? (If you had a small body / head it would break)
  • Bat equip bug patched (Where you couldn’t swing upon equipping)
  • Added Cash Purchasing
  • UI has been developed to be more streamlined and has room for to grow!
  • Donation board has been disabled, it will still remain to see the top donators, but for the time being it’s been turned off.

  • An emergency hotfix was released in order to fix an inventory bug where you could obtain an extremely high amount of a particular skin.

  • Tug of war button now actually indicates when you press it
  • Tug of war Click Per Second cap changed 15 → 10 (since a lot of people still think that autoclicking works)
  • Some anti-cheat protection in RLGL added
  • The chance for brighter lights in lights out has been increased

  • Not getting a win after purchasing a revive.

  • Trail purchase bug patched (where if you had the exact amount of cash as the trail’s cost, you couldn’t purchase the trail)
  • Glass bridge survival bug patched (where if you landed on the glass you stepped on, you could survive)

  • Sugar Honeycomb cookie orientation patched
  • Sugar Honeycomb collision mouse position bug patched (where if you hit)
  • Potentially fixed the revive bug (needs to be confirmed fixed!)

Note: This is a general compilation of all updates in the past few days

  • Sugar Honeycomb, your own player is invisible as well (so no more hats being annoying and blocking vision)
  • Sugar Honeycomb needle is now visible again
  • Souls are easier to see
  • Soul ui in lobby moved so mobile players can move
  • Custom UGC option in lobby added
  • Marbles, initial marbles increased by 2
  • Marbles, increased the amount of rounds by 1 (These changes means that you need to win 2/5 rounds instead of 2/4)
  • Marbles, decreased the time per round (10 → 8, due to the added round)
  • Intermission removes tools after the lights go back on
  • 2 typos have been patched
  • Double cash has been enabled for this weekend

    • Randomly chosen at the start of the game!
    • Enforce the rules!
  • When there are no guards, game plays like before
  • Should a player remain unkilled, the game will kill them on the guard’s behalf
  • Gamemode changes to accommodate this
    • RLGL doesn’t kill guards
    • Guards don’t play Sugar Honeycomb
    • Lights out has a guard safe zone
    • Guard spawn locations in Tug of war, glass bridge, and marbles

  • Added the tag gamemode! (Inspired by Crab Game) (It’s in the classic mode for a bit as random/endless get rolled very little)
    • Don’t be it at the end of the game or you will be eliminated
    • Scales with players (eg: 1 + players/10)
  • Added badges to the game
    • First win
    • Top 100
    • Open a crate
    • Have 5 skins
  • Map performance improvements (Removing shadows from select parts, removing extra map/texture parts not accessible)
  • Added a notification when you’re tagger
  • When you’re tagger it increases your speed
  • Bug fixed where the tagger’s weren’t being notified at the end of the round.
  • Moved the become a player button up (again)
  • Patched the push shop awarding the wrong amount of pushes
  • Fixed Flood Escape map colliding with the tag map
  • .5 Billion baseball bat can’t be dropped
  • Fixed guards being kill tagged in the first area
  • Fixed guards shooting and killing other guards (lol)

  • Tagger speed increased from 28 → 30 (everyone else is at 25)
  • Reverted the numbers on the shirts, will find a more concrete method
  • If only one player is at tag, tag mode will be skipped
  • Barrier increase in RLGL so you can’t jump over it
  • Refresh time for tag increased

  • Glass bridge has been made slightly easier
  • Guard speed reduced during lights out (16 → 12)
    • Guards can be punished now for trying to attack players during that time!
  • If you have 2 wins, you will have x2 voting weight instead of 1
    • A general trend has shown up where experienced players want to play other gamemodes, but generally are outvoted by the surplus of new players. This should help to level that.
  • RLGL walkspeed reduced (16 → 14)
    • Balancing out so players can’t just keep on walking into the end even after targeted
  • Fixed push purchases being the incorrect amount
  • Rainbow bat now glows rainbow
  • Removed Bloxbiz from lobby (for now)
  • Capped lights out to two per game in Random and Classic
  • Lights out in endless happens once per 3 games rather than once per 2
  • Map performance improvements
