Game Rules
Specific Fail Roleplay
The State of Florida is a roleplay group. You must roleplay when ingame. Fail Roleplay (FRP) is not following roleplay. It can also be completing actions that your character would not realistically be able to do. For example, an officer smashes your car window, says “-pulls out-“ and you drive away. This is FRP.
Punishment:
Metagaming
Metagaming is the act of receiving and using information that would not be possible to obtain in the real world, through things such as (but not limited to) livestreams. For example, an officer is on duty and watching an ingame criminal’s livestream. The officer was chasing the criminal, and loses them. They look at the livestream to see where they are. This is not allowed. They must act as though they did not see where they are on the livestream. Additionally, you cannot use the player list to match a description to a name, but, you can use it to get a description from a name.
Punishment:
Power-Playing
Power playing is controlling another player’s roleplay actions. This is not allowed. For example, a character cannot force another character to do an action, such as, tripping over a curb on the road.
Punishment:
Self-Harm
This is against Roblox Terms of Service (TOS).
Punishment:
Flipping Vehicles During a Pursuit
If your vehicle flips over (in any direction) during a pursuit, you are not allowed to flip it back onto it’s wheel(s). For example, you are being chased by police and take a corner too sharply and flip over. You cannot unflip your vehicle. Law enforcement officers are allowed to unflip their vehicle during a pursuit after 20 seconds of being flipped. IF YOUR VEHICLE AUTOMATICALLY UNFLIPS ITSELF, PRETEND IT IS STILL FLIPPED UNTIL NECESSARY - DO NOT CONTINUE DRIVING.
Punishment:
Glitching
Glitching is the act of using bugs that were not intended for gameplay to your, or someone else’s, advantage. For example, you are being chased by police on foot. You glitch through a locked door so the police cannot access you. This is NOT allowed.
Punishment:
New Life Rule
The new life rule (NLR) does NOT exist within the State of Florida. For example, you rob a bank and receive a BOLO. You die in a shootout with police, with the BOLO still active before the shootout. The BOLO is still active once you respawn.
Punishment: Not applicable
Spawn Killing
Spawn killing is the act of intentionally harming players as soon as they join the game or respawn. For example, you stand at spawn with a gun, and kill any players that spawn into the game. This is considered spawn killing, and is hence NOT allowed.
Punishment:
Leaving the Game to Avoid Arrest and Resetting to Avoid Arrest
Leaving the game to avoid arrest (LTAA) is the act of closing Roblox (i.e leaving the game) to prevent being arrested or caught by law enforcement officers. For example, you are being chased on foot by officers, who are trying to taser you. You cannot leave the game.
Resetting to avoid arrest (RTAA) is the act of resetting your character to prevent being arrest or caught by law enforcement officers. For example, you are being chased on foot by officers, who are trying to taser you. You take cover round a corner, and reset your character, respawning you. This is NOT allowed.
Punishment:
Scene Disruptions
Disrupting an ongoing roleplay scene is not allowed. For example, there is an MVA on a main road. EMS are on scene and treating the driver. You ram the people on scene and vehicles, and then begin to shoot at the people involved in the roleplay. This is not allowed.
Exception: You may disrupt law enforcement scenes (NOT medical scenes) if it fits your character’s role, and there is a reason to do it.
Punishment:
Fear Roleplay
Fear roleplay is scaring on duty employees (for example, on duty Department of Transportation workers or on duty law enforcement officers) is not allowed. For example, you cannot kidnap an on duty law enforcement officer or hold a public employee at gunpoint.
Exception: You may kidnap on duty public employees (i.e DOT/DPW).
Punishment:
Spawn Arresting
Law enforcement officers cannot cuff/detain/arrest players as soon as they join the game or respawn. They must be given some time to move freely from the spawn location.
Exception: If a user has RTAA’ed or LTAA’ed, officers may cuff them as soon as they spawn.
Punishment:
Cuffrushing
Cuffrushing is when a law enforcement officer (LEO) (or any other individual with access to handcuffs on the team they are on) cuffs/detains an individual without proper roleplay. LEOs do not need to say “-pins-” or “-cuffs” in the State of Florida, but cannot chase individuals with cuffs or cuff people while sat in a car, or from an unrealistic distance.
Exceptions: See end of page.
Punishment:
Use of Media as Evidence
In the State of Florida, we allow the use of recorded media from in official FSRP games (found on the group page) as evidence. This means evidence that you would use in a court trial, or evidence you’d send to an on duty law enforcement officer to allow an individual to be prosecuted. However, livestreams CAN NOT be used as evidence. You cannot take a screenshot of a livestream and use that as evidence, either.
Evidence must be taken directly from the game, otherwise you will be punished for using it. This falls under metagaming.
Developer Exceptions
If a game developer is testing something ingame, they are not subject to fail roleplay rules as long as they have explicitly made all other users ingame aware that they are testing, and once they have finished testing, they make users aware. They are to be treated as if they are not there when testing.
Exploiters
In the event that there is an exploiter ingame, you are to act as though they are not there and do not exist ingame. Law enforcement officers may attempt to cuffrush exploiters, and jail them with maximum jail time.
Enforcement
All fail roleplay rules are enforced by the game moderation team.
Law enforcement officers may cuffrush individuals who are breaking fail roleplay rules whilst waiting for a game moderator. If one does not show up, they may arrest the individual with maximum prison time for FRP.
