Status.roblox.com link should not use _self and instead open a new tab

The title should be self explanitory. When clicking this link, it changes the URL of the document instead of opening a new document.

It should open a new document instead.

I am unsure if this is intended or not, but if it is it should be changed.

It probably is intended. Plus, you can just right click and use open in new tab.
