Senior Barista Promotion Guide
Once you become a Senior Barista, you are eligible for a promotion(if you meet the requirements, that is).
We do expect a lot coming from our Senior Baristas.
Promotion Requirements(no exceptions will be made)
- Must be 13+
- Cannot have safechat
- Must have very good grammar
- Must be in our communications server with a verified account
- Must be active & hardworking
Promotion Tips
1. HARDWORK | Although LRs are not required to work behind the registers, you should work behind a register most of the time. Any Senior Barista will not get promoted if they haven’t been serving customers.
2. ACTIVITY | You should have been working for at LEAST 1 week as a Senior Barista, to become eligible for a promotion. However, you cannot take big breaks from going to the cafe and working. This means that you can’t go inactive, and then go active, and then go inactive, continuing…Doing this will not get you promoted anytime soon, apologies. It is recommended that you work at the cafe for at least one hour per day.
3. HELP OTHERS | As a Senior Barista, you should be helping customers or staff whenever needed. You cannot just ignore someone who needs help, that will not get you promoted.
4. HINTING | Hinting and/or asking for a promotion will just lower your chances for one. This may even end up in a demotion, so we suggest you do not hint at any time.
5. GRAMMAR | Although grammar is not required on our communications server most of the time, it is required at the cafe if you are a staff member. To become eligible for a promotion, you MUST HAVE excellent grammar, otherwise you will most likely not get promoted to Staff Intern.
6. RECIPES | It is suggested that Senior Baristas memorize the whole recipe guide. If you are familiar with the recipes, then that will increase your chance for a promotion.
Summation
Of course, there are many other tips that can give you a better chance for a promotion, but these are some of our most important ones!
Any questions/inquiries about this guide should be directed to a MR/HR.
Thank you for understanding.
