Stop it, Slender! (2)

Boring prologue:

Just over one year ago I made an attempt to recreate the Stop it, Slender! GMod gamemode on Roblox since nobody had really made a Slender game that didn’t just have some free-model Slenderman NPC that just chases you down. It slowly gained notoriety until I eventually (somehow) amassed 1,500+ concurrent players.
But at that time it was such a terrible game. I barely knew what I was doing really. Half free-modeled scripts, half scripts that I wish were free-modeled.
Then about two months ago I began recreating everything from the ground up. And here I am now.

The entirely new and revamped version of Stop it, Slender! entered open beta last night. I keep titling it as if it’s a sequel when it’s more of an enormous update.

Tons of new & improved things:
-100% FilteringEnabled compliant.
-New lobby.
-New map and lobby. (With another map in the making.)
-Completely redone GUIs and code. It’s actually easy for me to update stuff now.
-Completely gamepad and iOS compatible.
-Neato endgame screen.
-Revamped chance system.
-Pages now spawn in random places. Players can no longer memorize the placements and win every time.
-Players can’t stare at their feet to avoid taking damage from viewing Slender.
-Uses Trello API to keep track of feedback and bug reports.

Stuff to come in the future:
-Proxies. (Corrupted citizens that assist Slender in terrorizing the other citizens.)
-Slender outfits.

But what’s the point of an open beta if you’re just gonna read what’s new? Check out the game so far and tell me what you guys think!

I had a blast and I think this will obviously appeal to the average user. My youngest sisters will be thrilled when I tell them about an update to your slender game. The only downside I can see are those wait times. New players will probably be waiting a full five minutes before they can get in and try a round.

Also, cool lobby. I wish it had a bit more you could interact with but it’s well built and looks really nice.

Yeah, the wait times have been something I’ve always been trying to get around. Either some crazy matchmaking system, lobby minigames, or some ways to interact with in-game players.
And thanks for the compliments, the lobby was made by OfficialAndrew c:

So very promising and very fun :woohoo: I really want to play as proxy and I hope it gets fully done. I bet this new revamped version is going to kick ass on Roblox :imagine: ! And btw I love the lobby. It’s one of the best I’ve seen so far.
How to get a frontpage game

1.) Play garrys mod
2.) Pick your favorite game mode
3.) Remake it on roblox
4.) ???
5.) Profit
It is nice tho feels a lot better in general

I jumped in right away and I am instantly impressed by the overall aesthetic of the game, just by looking at the lobby. It is bright and slightly noisy, but at the same time it feels like something bad is going to happen, and outside is scary…

I’m excited for this game! Stop it Slender was one of my favorite Roblox games when it came out.

So the game released this morning and everything is going pretty well!
Also, for anyone on the forums who sees this, you can enter “peeps” on the Outfits screen for a free item! A little something for my fellow devs :>
