Street Racing Game

So my passion has and always will be racing. Particularly track racing. However street racing has always peaked my interest too. I’m looking to put together a team to put Vehicle Sim, Ultimate Driving, and others to shame.

The premise is kinda simple. I’m looking to do something sorta like NFS Underground 2 but set in current time. The map layout I’m hoping to be similar to NFSU2 with some added twists here and there and aesthetically is very different.

My role would be to keep everyone on task as well as I will be scripting a lot of the upfront stuff. A lot of GUI work and various scripting elements to keep the game flowing smoothly. Will also be providing some various graphic design oriented tasks like clothing for characters, logos and more. Will also be building a lot of the layout for the city and various other infrastructure elements. As well I will be funding a lot of things needed from outsourced areas. (Advertising, sounds, music, etc)

Positions needed:

  • 3D Modeler

    • Must be able to make cars. Looking to steer clear of copyright infringement so Cars must be parodies of real life work or fictional
  • Physics Engine Developer

    • Must be able to spend time working towards creating a unique suspension system for the cars that works in various business environments (to be described in detail later) as well as programming the internal workings of the car system
  • Scenery Builder

    • Will work on the detail oriented pieces of the map and internal building scenes (car shops, dealerships, etc)
  • Scripter

    • Work alongside me in various tasks to help move progress along quicker with backend things

Payments:
This is very flexible. It’s going to be Percent Based pay + various amounts of USD based on the work done.

one of my friends, BuilderBudCarl, was working with me on a game called Overdrive, which was a street racing game.
it has quite a lot of work done in terms of the chassis that we were using for the game, and other things.
the whole concept was pretty much laid out and lots of work was about to be done, until we closed doors on it.

maybe you could hit him up and ask him if you could see it?

he might help you out, who knows?

Are there still positions for the scenery builder?

I have literally just been building a vehicle system that is easy to manipulate, is resizable and that utalises Roblox’s constraint.

I want to make a racing game with it, but I don’t have the time to build any decent tracks to race on.

It is FE compatible, with tuning features such as toe/cast angle manipulation and drive bias (whether power is sent to the front/rear, or spread across 4 wheels).

So far it is very stable, and features physical foot and hand braking. You can even tune the car on the go.

See it in action!

One of the goals of my system is to provide a user interface that allows the user to tune the car on the fly.
