(Sorry if wrong category ,Couldn’t think of where else to put it)
I want to achieve A cool catchy ‘brand’ Name for the games i will be making.
(i am future planning)
The games i am/will be making are Apocalypse styled,
the reason i am struggling is because the names i think of don’t sound catchy/cool for what i am making
I originally thought
‘WipeOut’
was cool, and then remember the TV show and decided to think more.
Has anyone got Any good name ideas?
You can use no sense words to create names, for example: Stages, the name of my game, makes no sense with the game content, or maybe it does…
Another example would be copying names from already existing games but in a different version, for example: Left 4 Dead, there’s a game called Left 4 Survive or something like that.
Another example: Conejin: The Great City Adventure, the name of a future game that i’m going to create, why that name? Because the game is based on a city, there’s an open world, with a bunch of features and missions, giving the “Great Adventure” words to the title. What i mean with this? You can name your game with content that the game has, if your game is about unicorns and fighting: Unicorn Jam. Cooking in the space: Spacial Kitchen. And in your case: Is a apocalypse styled game, depends on what your game is about. There can be many names that your game can have, but it’s hard for me too.
In summary: You can give your game a name depending of what you want to show us (Players).
Thanks for reading Also, there’s already a game about Wipeout XD
Any name that can leave the player thinking about endless possibilities is a good name. What @SatanDynasty suggested is an amazing one and I would definitely play.
I feel the best way is to look up words related to the feel and style of your game, and combine them and add a few things. For example, my game Sector 27 is a plane and spaceship shooter in a futuristic city, and sector is a word meaning a grid, specifically in a city, and 27 was just a random number lol.
