Hi everyone,
I’m testing ads for my game “Milk Dunk!” and I’ve hit a retention wall. My ad creative is working well enough to get people to click and start a session, but they aren’t sticking around long enough to actually explore the game.
The Data:
- Clicks: 895
- Initial Game Plays: 365
- The Issue: Players are getting into the game, but dropping off very quickly after their first few moments of gameplay.
My Questions for the group:
- The “First Experience” Gap: For those who have launched games, what are the most common reasons players leave in those first 2–5 minutes?
- Onboarding: How do I tell the difference between “the game is too hard/frustrating” and “the game doesn’t match the ad’s promise”?
Any Help Would Be Great I also have a clear tutorial on how to make in Game Currency!
