Is this a bug or something else? https://gyazo.com/43b30cb91bda060bc78109a8dfa5f564
Was the part you were negating it with a sand part? This is normal behavior for unions to pick a material from either of the parts used in the union. If it wasn’t then this is an issue.
There is a part on the road which is a sand material.

And thank’s for telling me really help’s.
I just found out that CSG v3 erroneously displays decals when the decal is behind or in front of the negated section of a union:
I made two pairs of unions with decals for both v2 and v3. The left parts have the decals facing backward, the right parts have decals facing forward. Apparently, in CSG v3, the left union shows part of the decal on the negated area of the opposite side, while the right union only clips the decal.
All decals and textures get deleted when you make a union, that happened in V2 as well
There’s a negative part that I tried to union with the texture part which didnt make a hole as I wanted, Is that normal too?
Thanks for the feedback. I will have a look and try to reproduce the issue.
If you think the two parts were intersecting (it’s not obvious in your clip), then, yes, it’s a bug. Can you share the model so that I can have a look?
Done I sended the bug file on private.
I found the bug causing the issue reported by @Y_VRN. If all goes well, this should be fixed in Studio next week (v 506).
Is the bug’s you found got fixed?
It will be in Studio version 506 (next week)
I noticed fog is not quite fog anymore after switching to CSG v3. Is that a bug or on purpose?
Does this work on team create properly?
Which fog? The old or atmospheric fog?
The old fog that’s under “lighting”
Worked better for a game I’m working on than atmosphere-created fog to hide structures as they are loading in and out while streaming is enabled. Had it nice and hooked up in a way to keep the “cartoonish” theme of the game and it fit perfectly.
With CSG v3 the old lighting fog pretty much performs the same way as atmosphere-created fog IMO. You can see right past it all and see everything loading in and out… which aesthetically sucks lol
@SoloCanis I am not sure how CSG V3 would have an effect on the fog. Did you switch from V2 to V3 (or from V1 to V3)?
Could you send me a place that I could try to see the difference between before and after V3?
Thanks
Is this rolling out now? version 506 is out now…
Will we eventually be able to use CSG client-side? This is something that could be super useful for local desctruction, graphics/detail settings for individual users, etc.
