Studio bug related to uploading assets

PC Info: Windows 10 Pro, 22H2
Date First Experienced: I don’t know.
Date Last Experienced: 12/17/23

Reproduction Steps

  1. Open up Roblox Studio
  2. Go to any place
  3. Try and upload any asset, such as a decal, animation or model.
  4. The size of the upload popup makes it go offscreen, placing the Upload/Publish button out of the screen.

Here’s a video showing the issue:

Expected Behavior: The popup should be sized to fit within my screen, making the publish button visible.
Actual Behavior: The popup is too big to fit within my screen, forcing me to temporarily change my screen resolution in my computer’s settings (which i cannot keep on permanently, as it makes things blurry.)

CPU: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2630L v3 @ 1.80GHz 1.80 GHz
Ram: 16 GB
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 580 2048SP

Your video doesn’t appear to be loading, can you reupload it?

Weird, it loads fine for me. Here’s a reupload.

Hi @DestDeHat, can you include your screen resolution, and any other display settings like text size?

Yes, I can.

Screen Resolution: 1366 x 768
Custom Scaling: 100%
Display Scale and Layout: 125% (but greyed out for some reason)

@DestDeHat As a workaround, are you able to temporarily scale up the resolution, or lower the display scale somehow? (assuming not since it’s greyed out).

Yes, I can temporarily scale up the resolution, but it makes the screen blurry and my monitor itself doesn’t really like it and makes a popup appear on screen telling me that the resolution isn’t supported.

This also applies to importing 3D files. Things to note:

  • for the asset publisher you’re able to scale the window down to access the button
  • you can’t do that for the file importer, you need to hide the taskbar temporarily in order to access the button. Rescaling simply moves the window downwards.

Hi there, can you please share a screenshot of the issue with the file importer?

I run into this problem on a frequent basis

The popup doesn’t save any resizing you do to it, so you have to resize it every time it opens
