Studio Crash when using the Command Bar outside of an Experience

Description

Sooo I got this “update” notification and I decided to Right Click at the Start Page at the very top, just like that.

Then I saw that you get this option to select the Command Bar. If you type in the Command Bar while you’re not in an Experience, your Studio will crash. 100%

Re-production Steps

  1. Position your cursor here or somewhere there at the top bar of the Studio Window in the Start Page.

  2. Select Command Bar

A command bar will appear at the bottom.

  1. Type anything in it and press Enter.

Expected Result

I didn’t even expect the Command Bar to appear. But I actually expected that I can spam enter and that nothing would happen.

Or I expected a Window that shows up and tells me that it couldn’t find a Luau VM. :person_shrugging:

Actual Result

You crash and it won’t create crash analytics either.

I’ve been checking a few versions for this issue.

I can’t reproduce it anymore. So, I guess it was fixed.

In the following ways:

Once it I found out it was completely fixed. Like you were able to use the Command Bar and Hit Enter without crashing. But then one day, the option to even make the Command Bar appear, disappeared. So, I couldn’t even figure out if the newer versions would still cause the crash or not.
