Studio crashes after stopping a playtest

So, is anyone from Roblox being able to update us on the issue? Most of us can’t even develop anymore due to this bug. Is this gonna get fixed soon, or is the root cause not found yet?

I have the same problem
Studio often freezes after play test and needs to be forcefully closed.

Although it doesn’t happen frequently for me, I’ve been happing the exact same problem. When the issue does occur, Roblox Studio freezes and only the skybox is visible in the viewer.

I have been getting this problem as well.

this problem happens almost every playtest for me and its completely halted me doing anything at all in studio because i have to save every time i wanna play test which is a really lengthy process and then relaunching studio takes a while too when i have to do it so much so i end up using 75% of my time on this bug instead

Same it’s aggravating, it started happening yesterday. I get two playtests before my studio just closes. I’m trying to release an update and now I have to wait until it gets fixed.

It happened twice to me in the span of 5 minutes. Had to kill the process and restart.

This has happened to me many times in the past year. Trying to close the window when it does this causes Studio to freeze up and all the tabs (output, explorer, etc) get duplicated.

I always have to task manager Studio in order to resume development.

i’m having the exact same issue, and i know it’s not a problem with the scripting of my game because it has never started doing this at a high frequency as it is now.

and the problem is, i can’t even close the window because the buttons on the confirmation message window don’t work either. i just have to restart my PC every time it happens

@butterthebig It did this to me to last night. Fortunately, I did a core dump of the Studio process before killing the process. If you are interesting in obtaining this file, send me a private message. I will give you a Google Drive link since the file is about 4GB in size.

This is the first time it happened to me, but the lockup wasn’t complete. It still was doing autosaves and if you tried to close it, it would bring up the save dialogue.

@warlikcookie82 If you have the same problem as I do, linked here, look for the following below.

Find the part in your game that has a collisionfidelity set to “Hull”

The part should be zoomed out far away. Basically looking at a skybox.
