Studio crashes when I publish a place

I’m logged into my account in Studio.
I’m able to save a local copy of my place.

When the “Publish game as…” dialog comes up, I’m able to click on the “Group Games” tab and click on my game. Once the progress bar screen shows up, it stops at 0%, the spinny thing in the middle stops spinning and Windows tells me studio isn’t responding.

Is this still occurring? If so, what version of Windows are you using? Does this happen with any place or just a few?

Windows 10. It happens when I try to publish a certain game on my hard drive to any place on Roblox.

I’m having the same problem, both on Windows 8 and Mac OS X 10.11.3, so I don’t think it’s OS specific.

It also isn’t specific to Group Games, I can’t publish this particular place file to any slot on my profile. I can, however, upload blank place files just fine. It seems to just be this particular place.

I just created a new place file, copied the objects and service properties to that place, tried uploading that, and it uploaded fine.

You could private message the broken place file to the admins with a link to this thread as repro.

If it happens with a specific place, please send me that place and I’ll take a look.

The file’s too big to send through an RbxDev message. Do you have an email I can send it to?

Just use dropbox and message me the link, then I’ll take a look.

You can directly attach place/model files to PMs on Discourse, so we don’t even need a middleman like dropbox anymore :P

Any word on when this will be fixed? I’ve had to pause my development and I think a lot of other people have had to also.

I notice this only occurs on big local files trying to be uploaded to an active ROBLOX place.

One or more of these unions is causing the crash:

We’ll have a possible fix for this going out in the next update or two, let me know if this keeps happening after that!

I updated Studio this morning. Still crashing at the same spot when uploading the place I sent you.

Is this still happening to you now? The fix was turned on yesterday afternoon.

I’m not crashing anymore. Studio stops responding for about 10 seconds and then says the place was published successfully. I can work with this, though it would be nicer if it was faster. Not a major problem :slight_smile:
