Studio crashing, unable to playtest or open multiple windows

Initially, while testing MemoryStoreService to ensure my scripts work, I noticed that I cannot open two copies of Studio - at least not in a stable manner. I would open my start place in the universe and then open a second place; upon opening the second place, one of two things happens: either a failure to connect error appears, or it loads normally for a few minutes and then crashes both the first place and the second place instantly without warning.

I also noticed that I can’t actually play-test either world (even if I have only one copy of Studio open). The session opens to the default blue skybox, which my game certainly does not use; this indicates that the game itself simply is not loading. When I try to end the play-test, Studio buffers and then crashes.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open two copies of Roblox Studio
  2. Wait, or start a play-test

Alternatively

  1. Open a copy of Roblox Studio
  2. Attempt to play-test

Expected behaviour

I expect the two copies of Studio to open and remain fully operational, and I expect play-testing to work. This is how Studio has behaved in the past.

Update: I cannot even login to Roblox Studio anymore.

Hi - what you’re describing is most likely a video memory or GPU issue. A log would help tell us more, and also if you can save the text from dxdiag.exe and DM that as well we can see what we’re working with. Depending on the specs of your machine, it may be difficult to have multiple sessions going. If your machine is using too many resources, other programs may also be interfering.

Apologies if you sent this in and I missed it, but we’ll need more info to proceed, and especially a log. Thanks.

Apologies for the late response, the issue resolved so I think you’re right - still unsure what exactly was causing it. Thanks a ton though!
