Studio Dark mode, Properties tab, unreadable black-on-grey values

You can write your topic however you want, but you need to answer these questions:

1. I would like use Studio dark mode to reduce eye strain

2. When I switch to Dark mode through Studio Settings => Theme, the value etc fields become unreadable when editing them. Below pics 1) object selected 2) property SoundID clicked 3) property editing, cursor moved => black-on-grey, unable to read or modify value correctly

3. I have tried to Reset to Defaults. The results are the pics above

Is this the typical behaviour or have I messed something in my environment elsewhere?

I don’t believe this is normal and I am unsure why your text changes to black when editing. I looked through the settings and didn’t see anything related to changing the text color for the properties panel. You could try reinstalling to see if it fixes anything?

Edit the registry key WindowText in Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Colors. Set it to this: 255 255 255.

Sign out and then sign back in for changes to take effect.

This will probably work too. I fixed this by going to Windows => Colors (Choose your accent color) and switching “Choose your color” to “Dark”
