Studio docking is completely broken

Whenever studio updates, it completely changes how my tabs are docked. A ton of random plugins open on the left, and explorer and properties combine on the right… which is not how I set my studio up.

I have explorer on the left to itself. Properties on the right and output at the bottom. This is now impossible to setup.

I don’t want output to take up all this space, and there is no option now to just take up bottom between explorer and properties

Expected behavior

What beta features do you have enabled?

I had the new studio docking one on. Turning it off fixed this bug, but I’m reporting as I’ve had that beta feature on for months with no issues, so obviously something changed with it that’s caused it to break

Here’s a workaround to the output widget problem: drag another widget into the full width slot, then the not full width widget slot will show up when you drag widgets around

Hi @NinjoOnline, this is because the last update that was rolled out to Updated Docking System made the South0 region take the whole screen. The workaround is do dock something else in that area, then after the that the smaller region that is less wide (South1) will show up and then you can dock Output in there. Then you can close the bottom one.

We will however roll out an update soon that will show both South1 and South0 region and give you the ability the dock Output in the smaller region. I’ll update you as soon as it will become available. In the meantime, please use the workaround to achieve your expected outcome
