I normally use a desktop for development and occasionally pull out my windows 10 laptop when I need to finish an update while away from home. Because of this, I don’t often open Studio from this computer, and therefore don’t update and run into issues with it very often. However, when I tried to let studio auto-install yesterday’s update, it started to give me a message saying it failed to find RobloxStudioBeta.exe.
After some digging, I found the version files in AppData so I could manually delete them and allow the installer to create a fresh install. It worked for most of them, but sure enough there sat the file untouched.

After viewing the properties I saw it wouldn’t allow me to delete it, which I figured was due to it not recognizing my account as the sole admin and owner account. Never fun to slog through, but this wasn’t my first rodeo changing file ownership in order to fix issues… and then I hit this screen:

It was a little weird to not see any of the file’s ownership status, but I still wasn’t fully convinced it was a problem. I chose the option to change the file’s owner, and, well you can probably guess how well it worked:

I can assume this might not be a Studio issue, but has anyone had any similar experiences that might point me in the right direction? I am at a bit of a standstill since the file won’t allow me to view anything of importance and won’t allow the Launcher/Updater to remove or alter it. Thanks.
