Studio gets stuck in infinite publishing state

After publishing my place, Studio never gets communication back from Roblox that the publish has confirmed. This leads to Studio getting stuck in a state of infinite publishing. This state prevents you from closing the Studio window, and stops you from publishing the place again in the same session.

This began happening yesterday, all of our team has experienced it on this place.

Here is a video of the state Studio gets stuck in. My session was open over night and was still not resolved in the morning.

@Usering thanks for reporting the issue. We’ve disabled the feature that we believe was causing this issue. Can you try again and let us know?

This started happening to me yesterday and just happened a couple minutes ago. I end up having to kill the task in task manager because it never lets me exit. It’s let me publish several times throughout the day, but then it stopped.

@SneezyBadger could you restart studio and try again?

Our feature rollouts/rollbacks require restarting studio to take effect.

This is an issue I’m also having while trying to save a place. I’ve had studio open for maybe an hour at most? Just finished work for today, saved, and the process has been stuck for about 20 minutes. I’m unable to close studio normally.

Just fyi, this hasn’t happened since.

I’m having a similar issue that hasn’t resolved since, this specifically only happens when Team Create is on.

It mainly happens when I insert any sort of model into my game, from the toolbox or when copying a model from one studio tab to the other.

This is not tied to any specific game and I can easily recreate it by inserting a few models from the toolbox, studio becomes completely locked up and I have to close it with the task manager.

It should also be noted this has persisted for me on multiple different computers and different networks.

This has been happening for well over a couple of months, even a year.

@Sekuriyo can you give us repro steps? And also specify what models you’re inserting?

  1. Create a place, or use an existing place.
  2. Ensure team create is on.
  3. Verify that when you can publish the game.
  4. Start inserting models from the toolbox, the larger the better.
  5. Attempt to publish.

This occurs not only when using the toolbox, but if you have two studio tabs open transferring models from one to the other.
