Studio has a mini-freeze every time I copy/cut text in code editor

The below gif is an example of how bad the freeze is. I copy text (CTRL+C) and the move my cursor to attempt to click behind the ‘wait(300)’ below, but the mini freeze prevents me from clicking immediately.

This is terrible to have to work with. Don’t know any leads as to why this problem is occuring either.

I can’t repro this on Windows 10 either. Can you send a copy of a place or script that has the issue?

It’s not specific to a place or script. It happens everywhere.

From what’s I’m gathering this is only happening to me. Would a reinstall of studio possibly fix this? I’m a bit cautious of losing my studio layouts, however.

I used to have a problem like this a few months ago with my old computer. It did the exact same thing. I have absolutely no clue what caused it. The problem fixed itself after an update or something. (Don’t know what fixed it either. It just magically stopped doing that.)

It might fix it, but let’s try this first:

  • What version of Studio are you using?
  • Does this still happen if all of your plugins are removed?
  • Does this sill happen if you don’t use Play Solo or Start Server/Player?
  • Does this happen the first time you open a script?

  • Don’t know, but the most recent version as I just reinstalled.
  • Yes it still occurrs after all plugins have been disabled.

I’m still dealing with this daily and I’m getting really worn out by this. :cold_sweat: Can anyone assist me?

When Studio is running and this occurs, do you have any other applications or processes running?
