It’s totally normal. Roblox Studio is an engine, so when you’re testing your game, it’s not just running the game, it’s also running the full development environment in the background. That uses a lot more memory than just playing a regular Roblox game.
For example, when I test my game, it easily uses around 5GB of RAM. The amount of RAM Roblox Studio uses can also depend on how much memory your PC has available. I remember back when I had a laptop with 8GB of RAM, Studio would only use about 2GB.
So yeah, don’t worry, it’s expected behavior. If you want to reduce RAM usage, you can try lowering the graphics quality in Studio settings.
Hello, Thanks for the response, to clarify I want to mention the machine I work on, it’s actually just started taking more memory than before, I wouldn’t mind that but the problem is that the is actually using 80% of my CPU and RAM, I don’t know if it was a sudden change they made or not so I got confused, I also tried lowering my studio graphics and still didn’t change any performance, maybe I’m not doing it right?
