Some keys get stuck in a state, either held down or not pressed at all. Seems to happen after pressing a key with something in the Explorer window selected. Pressing and releasing the key does not help. Deselecting whatever you have selected helps.
This also disappears when the game freezes to auto save, or when you test the game.
The bug started happening this week, and has so far only happened for me in Team Create games.
I was having the issue as well. When it happened, I needed to press and unpress both Ctrl and Shift keys.
I am having this issue too. I thought it was just my hardware because I moved my computer around recently.
Ctrl and Shift both seem to be interpreted in a pressed state when they are not at various times while using studio.
I’m going to try and investigate this. Thank you for the report.
UPDATE:
I was unable to reproduce the Shift key sticking, but I was able to produce an issue where if you select an object in the Explorer you can no longer move around in the 3D viewport. I believe this is related and have filed a bug.
When did this start happening to you? If you don’t touch the explorer, does this still happen? What OS are you on? Does this happen to you if you don’t use Ctrl/Shift to select multiple parts in the Explorer?
Edit: We’re going to disable a setting. Please restart Studio and try again in a few minutes.
Windows 7 Ultimate, I noticed it at least 2 days ago.
Randomly while using studio, my camera will be stuck in the slow movement mode asif I am holding shift. That or when I try to select a part by clicking on it in the viewport, I will select it and keep my previous selection asif I am holding control.
If I can get any more details on the reproduction of the glitch, I will let you know.
Yeah this has been happening for the past week I think, there’s quite a few bug reports similar to this.
I’m having this issue mainly with shift which is really annoying as its the main hotkey I use
