With the above details the most likely culprit is a beta or plugin. If you can disable any betas (and please make note of which one) and try it that could help narrow it down. Also if you can take any plugins out that you may have recently installed, that can be another. (Also making not of what they were). Lastly, a log after attempting shutdown will be most helpful.
Only beta I have enabled is imporoved CSG operations, which impacts nothing (tried disable it). All other has been disabled. After plugin currency update, I have not installed nor created any plugins, disabling current plugins changes nothing.
I’m seeing a number of plugins running in the logs you passed. I’m also seeing a bunch of script timeouts, so I’m guessing there’s something different here. I would try uninstalling plugins one at a time and seeing if one of them is blocking it.
Hm, I remember that at that time (and now too), studio was performing run tests insanely slowly too, giving CoreScripts timeouts and halting everything, forcing to restart them like 3-5 times to load.
Also, I have decided to wait on what will occur if I’ll let it to continue work, and it sent me to starter page with places.
That makes sense based on the logs - its not blocked on anything but something is taking a really long time to unload. We’re not seeing this globally in metrics that suddenly every place is taking a while on every installation, so its something specific to your setup. The issue is figuring out what is different. If you don’t want to uninstall plugins, another thing to try is just a fresh install on an alt account on a new windows user, such that you have a completely clean build. If it reproduces there on a new blank place, that’s a good additional piece of info.
Only reason why I don’t want to uninstall plugins is having MoonAnimator, which can’t be bought back, all others are free.
Will think what I can do with windows, will be a problematic though.
This problem also occurs in Windows 11 when RobloxStudio is not closed and the system is shut down then the signa will be blocked by Roblox Studio when it fires a close sign to show “1 more program needs to be closed, waiting for RobloxStudio” If we cancel this time we will find the same as you said
Sometimes RobloxStudio has to wait a long time for it to be issued (when it’s closing)
This should be the problem of the close order . I hope Roblox Studio either closes or doesn’t get stuck here after I undo the reboot
Going to close this until we get some more info here - see above on plugins as that still seems to be the most likely culprit outside of an OS configuration - still no reports of this reproducing from QA. We can move on a fix with more info here.
Hi, I’m sorry for not reading previous reply. Not noticed it =(
So far, I had experienced 2-3 times of this only, with all plugins and without them (I tried to cut plugins from their folder, idk if it’s “good” tho)
So, for me everything works normally right now. Thanks.
Roblox Studio is unable to properly close a specific place of mine, but opening and closing empty baseplate projects or other projects works perfectly fine from what I have tested. This is happening on MacOS and Windows 11.
