Every time I run “Play-Test” in Roblox Studio, there is a high chance it may crash, this never happened until the most recent update, what should I do?
Did you try to disable Team Create? It might be causing the problem.
It’s not enabled. I never really use team create anymore due to the fact that it’s… well, buggy.
Did you check your Beta Features that you have enabled on Studio? It may have something to do with that, which impacts Studio crashing.
File > Beta Features.
I have, and I have opted out of beta features for the same reason.
Does this seem to happen on a specific game then? Try play testing a blank Baseplate.
I did that, and it goes away sometimes, and stays others.
Here’s a list of things you are able to try:
Clearing your Temp Files
- Press Win + R on your keyboard and type
%temp%
. - Hit Enter and clear all files in the Temp Folder.
Clearing your Roblox AppData Files
It’s recommended you uninstall both Roblox and Roblox Studio.
- Press Win + R and enter
%appdata%
. - Look at Window Explorer’s Address Bar and click on the AppData file.
- Go into the Local folder.
- Find the Roblox folder and delete it.
Resetting Studio Settings
- Go to File > Settings on Studio.
- Reset settings from there.
This happened to me before, you might have a harmful plugin installed or (maybe I’m not sure) it might be because you may have HD admin, for some reason when i put had admin in my game it wouldn’t let meplaytest it.
Nope, no plugins here. Sorry about that.
This appears to have worked for now, hopefully it doesn’t happen again, or Roblox fixes it.
Hey guys, bad news… It’s still doing it. What now?
Did you try to re-do the above solutions?
I believe this is an issue going around with Developers, so you might want to message @Bug-Support if the above didn’t help.
