I still think it’s not that big of a deal, if anything OP can deal with the problems in the discord
There’s not really a very secure way to store the data for something like this so it’s not worth it to talk about how exploitable it is. most people won’t be messing around with the settings file anyways.
Why would you lie about this?
I wouldn’t say it’s a flex to say you’re obsessed with Roblox Studio.
I would say that’s kind of sad.
You don’t know since for some developers it is a flex to say you’ve spent long periods of time on Studio.
Yeah let them flex then? At the end the plugin is about giving yourself motivation to work for more time.
Creating so much security for that simple plugin would just be giving too much time in for one thing, yet it would essentially do the same thing - motivate you to work more time, which is great. Depends on you if you want self motivation, or just flex on others and do nothing at the end.
Question… can I see the code for this? I am learning to code and wanna see how this was made…
You can find the source code in your files. It should be an RBXM file.
I come to flex
Note: bottom hours in studio is a diff plugin which likes to reset itself
UPDATE
Having Rojo + Visual Studio open will now be detected. In a sense, this prevents the system from falsely marking the developer as AFK and therefore not counting XP.
Wow! Nice job, that’s pretty cool!
Studio Levels Update // Gummy 1.6.0
Major code improvements
Improved modularization to make code much more readiable, and thus more updatable. This update is moreso for my own satisfaction. Not only would I like my code to not be disgusting, but it's nice to make it easy to update.
UI improvements
Text is now constrained to prevent scaling visual bugs, and the entire UI is under a list constraint with horizontal and vertical center of gravity.
Faster level-up
The dropoff level-up speed changed from 10/6.5 to 10/8.5. For example, my level went from 149 to 697 for the same number of hours as a result of this update.
AFK scanner increment
The AFK scanner increment changed from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. This means you can now go AFK for up to 2 minutes before XP is not logged.
Good addition! Thank you for this, however I’m very optimistic about this, here’s some minor question if you don’t mind.
So people can be in a studio for hours and hours, but how do you know if they’re actually in the studio instead of being “motivated” and wanting to develop? If anything, they could just be on the studio and be watching YouTube etc etc, or they could leave their PC’s but be AFK? Get what I’m saying? Did you do anything to make it detect if they’re active on the studio is what I’m saying. Thank you for this nonetheless.
I have. You can see that it’s actually updated, via the most recent update message:
Yeah terribly sorry, I just now saw it, my bad again. Thank you for your contribution.
I like this plugin, but I forgot to close studio and I had a script open so I got to level 100.
You should probably detect if the current open script has not been changed in the last 2 minutes, but I’m not sure if this is possible.
It is, plugins can see the script’s code.
Could you give XP for other things other then time spent?
No, sorry. Time is better for this.
Something likes visits, likes, favorites,or lines of code would be great (My HTML in roblox project would boost my lines of code by 3000 lol)
Just a suggestion: It would also be better if you gave more XP for taking breaks, to motivate developers to not focus on developing for too long as that might lead to burnout! Great plugin though!
